Today let's welcome Seelie Kay back to Promote Me Please with her brand new book: INFAMY To share this post, use the permanent tiny-url https://tinyurl.com/PMPINFAMY PROMO SHEET:   Infamy by Seelie Kay Release Date: Jan. 4, 2019 Publisher: Extasy Books Romantic Suspense, three flames An Interview with Seelie Kay: Q.   Why do you write romance? Because I am fascinated by the games people play to find and secure a lasting relationship, which is not always love. There’s the chase, the courtship, the falling, the surrender. That’s what I try to capture in my stories. Q.   Do you prefer a certain type of romantic hero? I adore smart, dashing gentlemen who aren’t afraid to live on the edge. They can be a bad boy, a billionaire, a prince, or a secret agent. That hint of danger just hooks me! However, I also love strong, independent women who aren’t afraid to fight for what they want, even love. Q.   Why did you write “Infamy?” ...

Did you have much trouble coming up with it?   A.1. Mack 'n' Me: Origins by C. M. SImpson

Image
Today C. M. Simpson is visiting Promote Me Please After Dark to answer five curious questions about her new book Mack 'N' "Me: Origins. Q.I. Mack ‘n’ Me: Origins . The title implies this might be the first of a series. Is this so? A.1. Yes. This is the first book in a new series. I’m currently working on Book 2, while compiling an anthology of short fiction set around these characters. The short fiction was where the idea spawned, but the novel takes me back to before when those stories were set. It came as a bit of a surprise, too, because it’s the story I’m writing now, that I thought I was writing, when I started Origins . However, the characters took a quick step to the left, and told me they had some stuff they wanted to do, first, so I followed them through the course of Origins , and I’m glad I did. Q.2. Describe Mack in five words A.2. Big, shrewd, commanding, manipulative, deceptive Q.3. Who is “me” in Mack ‘n’ Me ? A.3. “Me” is Jocelyn Cutter,...

The Man With the Tool Belt by Stefan Angelina McElvain

Image
Promote Me Please After Dark welcomes Stefan Angelina McElvain to talk about The Man with the Tool Belt. As usual, here come five curly questions… Q.1. Is it a real tool belt or a metaphorical one? A real tool belt Q.2. Where did the kernel of the idea for this one come from? My wife swears by the man. If an item stays on the honey-do list for a few weeks, she gets the man in. Q.3. Please describe a supporting character from The Man with the Tool Belt The man falls in love, but does she love him? He first meets Roxy when the man is working his day-job, cleaning tables at a coffee shop. He thought she’s cute and gives her his card. He does a job for her, and they start dating, but she’s not ready to settle down with just one man. Q.4. Do you write with a grin, a gentle smile, an earnest frown or in a manic panic? All of the above. The best is the manic panic. I love it when the story takes over. I have no idea what’s going to happen, and I have to write...

The Slut Fairy by Stefan Angelina McElvain

Image
Promote Me Please After Dark welcomes Stefan Angelina McElvain to talk about - drum roll... THE SLUT FAIRY! Q.1. The Slut Fairy… is this a story for the romantic or the cynic? Or both? Definitely, not the romantic. The goal’s an adult humorous fairy-tale. Q.2. How did you name your main character ? This is a story by itself. We’d written a short story for a much younger audience and had requested a front cover with a picture of a fairy and a treasure chest. We received a draft cover and when my wife saw it, she said, “They’ve sent you the Slut Fairy and we’d asked for…” I had the title, the story followed. Q.3. Do you like the short form for writing or are you naturally a “long” writer? Short form. Long stories, I tend to break up into a series of novellas. Q.4. Can you give us a quote from the story?
