A real tool belt Q.2. Where did the kernel of the idea for this one come from? My wife swears by the man. If an item stays on the honey-do list for a few weeks, she gets the man in. Q.3. Please describe a supporting character from The Man with the Tool Belt The man falls in love, but does she love him? He first meets Roxy when the man is working his day-job, cleaning tables at a coffee shop. He thought she’s cute and gives her his card. He does a job for her, and they start dating, but she’s not ready to settle down with just one man. Q.4. Do you write with a grin, a gentle smile, an earnest frown or in a manic panic? All of the above. The best is the manic panic. I love it when the story takes over. I have no idea what’s going to happen, and I have to write

  Promote Me Please After Dark welcomes Stefan Angelina McElvain to talk about - drum roll... THE SLUT FAIRY! Q.1. The Slut Fairy… is this a story for the romantic or the cynic? Or both? Definitely, not the romantic. The goal’s an adult humorous fairy-tale. Q.2. How did you name your main character ? This is a story by itself. We’d written a short story for a much younger audience and had requested a front cover with a picture of a fairy and a treasure chest. We received a draft cover and when my wife saw it, she said, “They’ve sent you the Slut Fairy and we’d asked for…” I had the title, the story followed. Q.3. Do you like the short form for writing or are you naturally a “long” writer? Short form. Long stories, I tend to break up into a series of novellas. Q.4. Can you give us a quote from the story?
